Brian has traveled all over the world following stories as diverse as the rebuilding of Afghanistan to the gruesome political murder of Ukranian Journalist Georgy Gongadze. He has created numerous acclaimed documentaries, commercials and feature films for the Sundance Channel, FRONTLINE/World, National Geographic, TechTV, The History Channel, The Discovery Channel, and The Learning Channel. He can be found on The Travel Channel series “Not Your Average Travel Guide” and recently won a Cine-Golden Eagles for his work for the Discovery Channel Global Education Project in China.
His many camera credits include the feature film Scratch- A Sundance award winning theatrical documentary about the DJ/Turntablist movement and Leonardo DiCaprio’s “11th hour.” Brian also frequently teaches classes in filmmaking at the International Film and Television Workshops in Rockport, Maine. ![]() Brian Knappenberger
