Kuria is a boy from Kenya, who has moved to the US four years ago. Though he is a novice to travel, he has an adventurous and playful spirit. Growing up in Kenya, he will be the first kid from Africa to make the journey to this region of the Arctic. Kuria loves basketball, and is discovering the meaning of climate change.

“Hi! I'm Lawrence Mwaura but i would prefer Kuria, my middle name. I'm from Kenya but i'm currently living in Los Angeles. Words can't explain how excited i am looking foward to this trip and i hope thats the same way you guys feel. I can't wait to see all of your faces as we bond together for a life time experience. Last but not least i just want to say thank you for giving me this opputinity.
My trip to the Arctic will be a great opportunity for me to learn more about
global warming. After the trip, I will take the initiative to train my
friends and all people about the global warming.
There is no doubt we can solve this problem. IN fact, we have a moral
obligation to do so. Small changes to our daily routine can add up to big
differences in helping to stop global warming.
